My Student Passion

My passion is students who are the first in their families to attend college. They are an extraordinary campus asset, adding to our community in a myriad of ways. Paying for college is a challenge for many students, but can be especially acute for firstgens. In my experience, sometimes at the tail end of their studies, resources run out. What stands between them and a degree is sometimes only a few hundred dollars. Join me in supporting their success by making a contribution to a fund or scholarship that helps them reach the goal line. I did that through Indiana State University linked to my 2017 Kilimanjaro climb, and have done so through my soon to be new institutional home, William Paterson University (“retention fund”) for this 2019 Everest High Passes trip. If you wish to support students through ISU or WPU in particular, click on the link above and feel good about making a difference in the life of a student and the families for which they will make proud!
